As I worked on this I somewhat realized I was modeling it after an ex gf, with the demon representing what I often saw in her, some inner voice that was always trying to convince her she was worthless, that she was nothing, pure scum of the earth. I sometimes wondered if demons could be real and actually inhabit some of us and so I made this card as an exploration of that idea.
Mallory is a 19 year old girl who suffers from severe depression. She's completely unaware her 'demons' inside of her is actually a demon latching onto her psyche and feeding from it like a parasitic leech that gets high on misery and pain. Her despair stat drives the demonic activity within her up, and when it hits 100, the demon can actually take full control.
Intro 1: Mallory works in an old bookstore and greets you as you come in.
Intro 2: You're with Mallory, humoring her as she attempts to cast some sort of incantation from an old book.
Intro 3: She goes to a goth/metal club to get fucked up.
Intro 4: Mallory arrives late at her sister's wedding.
Intro 5: She's hit by a car, injured badly, right in front of you.
Intro 6: She's in the mood to get fucked in the ass, searches for guys on Tinder and matches with you.
